Sakurajima (桜島)
Overlooking Kagoshima City in southern Kyushu, Sakurajima volcano has had a few devastating eruptions over the last two hundred years, one of which bridged the gap between the island and Osumi Peninsula. There is a regular ferry to Sakurajima from Kagoshima that runs every 10-15 minutes.

I got a job offer with another English conversation school. Still waiting on location and salary.

Hey Turner! Congrats on your job offer. I'm going to be in Japan in less than a week--craziness. I leave Mexico next Tuesday, and have a joyous two days of flying before landing in Tokyo. Then I'll be in Nagoya for three months. So...maybe we could meet up somewhere? All your Japan expertise/advice is much appreciated.
